You might be thinking…

“What makes this different from
a journal or a productivity planner?”

This past year, having connected with so many folx here at ROJ who share similar ethics (like you!), I’ve been launched into a whole other level of reflectiveness.

So much so, that I started looking for a way to track how my reflections are turning into action and how I’m growing to embody the ethics I hold sacred. Because without action, our complicity lives on.

While there are many planners that feature journal questions and prompts to look at goals for the year or to reflect on the year that has passed, I couldn’t find any that were built on the foundation of justice and ethics. Most were quite overtly centered around productivity and achievement…not really what would be useful here. So, I made my own; and I’d love to share it with you!

This planner was specifically created to honor an unlearning that is led by community through insightful quotes and specifically created questions. And, its layouts prioritize a vision, approach, and creativity that is grounded in ethics and reflections of growth, highlighting the importance of connection and reimagination in guiding our movement forward to collective liberation.

Feel free to print it out, type on it, or if you have a tablet, directly draw and scribble your thoughts as you process. There are no rules and there is no right way to use it! Make it your companion to a life grounded in justice-doing and freedom-making.

(Oh hey, you found the sneak peek of the planner!)

Reflecting on Justice occupies the unceded, traditional, and ancestral territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh), S'ólh Téméxw (Stó:lō), Qayqayt, and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) peoples. Part of our commitment to disrupting the colonial project we benefit from and the duty inherent in our relationship with these lands is to redistribute 50% of our proceeds to Indigenous organizing efforts, independent anti-oppression educators, and mutual aid efforts. As our community grows, the percentage of our redistribution will also grow.
